About our Program

PFAS-TRANSFORMED works to address the complex health risks posed by per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), with a focus on metabolic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

By integrating large-scale population studies, innovative laboratory models, advanced multi-omics approaches, and community-based interventions, this program aims to identify the mechanisms by which PFAS disrupt metabolic function and translate scientific discoveries into practical strategies that improve public health and precision environmental health research.
